Break My Heart

Hello, 

First a little bit of an introduction: my name is Catriona but I go by Cat. I study Fashion Management and this blog is a part of my second-year coursework. Despite that being how it begins, I hope to keep posting for the continuation of my course, if not longer.

Aside from fashion, my passions are art and music, so I wanted to create a series of posts which reflected this. I have used the website Polyvore to compile outfits inspired by my favourite songs and artwork. The first of which is a song called 'Break My Heart' by Hey Violet. This song is always in my 'getting ready to go out' playlist and I would be lying if I said I hadn't danced around the room while blasting this through my laptop speakers.


I adore this velvet crop top from Boohoo. There is a similar shirt hanging in my closet right now which I normally pair with skinny ripped jeans. I love the idea of having an embellished denim skirt and some unique velvet boots to go with it. A swipe of plum lipstick and a couple of accessories completes today's inspired look. I'll be back with another one soon so stay tuned.

 Are you a fan of Hey Violet? I also really enjoy their songs 'Hoodie', 'Fuqboi', 'Brand New Moves' and 'Guys My Age'. The stripped version of that last one is awesome.
