Bubblegum B*tch

I recently saw Marina perform in Edinburgh. Her set-list covered tracks from various albums (spanning from 2009 to present day). 'Bubblegum Bitch' was a lot of fun to see live and I wanted to share a board that reflected this. The upbeat pop song paints the story of one of Marina's on-stage personas 'Electra Heart' (debuted on the studio album of the same name). "I think a lot of people will think Electra Heart is an alter ego or something but she's not, it's kind of basically a vehicle to portray part of the American dream, with elements of Greek tragedy and that's all going to be coming out through the visuals. It's hard to explain but I think you'll see it when it all comes together." - Marina

For this look, I was thinking 'fun and flirty with plenty of bubblegum pink'. There's a mix of textures, from soft tulle and glossy lips to beaded chains and studs. I couldn't pick between the two pairs of heels so I decided to include both as alternatives. Shop this look here
